Attention Gamma Oryzanol* users! Gamma Oryzanol, the active ingredient in Body Builder, is a unique plant product that must be handled properly in order to be effective. Some American companies make a product they claim is Gamma Oryzanol, but it has very little similarity to the Japanese product. The Japanese Gamma Oryzanol must be used in order to make the formula effective.
Rice bran oil and oil extract is insoluble in water and if taken internally in powder, pill or capsule form, will probably pass through the body without absorbing into the blood stream. Stress? Anti-stress effects, although not rigorously proven, were seen at both relatively low and high doses of Rice Bran Oil & Extract Gamma Oryzanol (10-300mg per day) in clinical trials. Since the mechanism is delivery of ferulic acid to the brain, it can be theorized that small amounts of ferulic acid should be equally or more effective than Gamma Oryzanol. For purposes of producing peak blood levels of ferulic acid, it is not clear whether Rice Bran Oil & Extract Gamma Oryzanol should be taken with meals or on an empty stomach.
